WildStar still exists, planning a ‘massive update’ soon

WildStarbilled itself with such a good premise before its launch — a haven for former hardcore MMO (mostlyWoW) players to enjoy themselves among the current free-to-play landscape. ButFinal Fantasy XIVkind of came out on top of the subscription pile, andWildStarfell by the wayside, eventually becoming free-to-play in September 2015.

Even though you rarely ever hear about it it’s still going, and it’s getting a brand new ‘massive’ content update soon, which will be revealed tomorrow. Although it’s still fun to go back in and check out my home space every so often, I wish the community took to this one from the start — it’s a really colorful, fun little MMO romp that just didn’t do enough in its marketing (or endgame) to stand out from the pack.
