One day when you least expect it, bam!The Gollum gamewill be out. For now, we ponder the possibilities of this potentialLord of the Ringsgame from Weta.
You might recognize the name from the Jackson films! Weta Digital has been creating visual effects since the ’90s, but really blew up when they worked on theLord of the Ringstrilogy. Well, they’re working on games, too.
All of the info so far comes fromthis Facebook call to arms, which is asking for a producer that can help them make “cutting edge games,” noting that they are aiming for a “PC release.” Digging furtherinto the producer role on offer in the interactive department, it seems as if it’s based on “an incredibly rich and inspiring license that will fill fans and players around the world with delight.” Hmmmmmmm! The listing also mentions “consoles.”
Now, Weta could be supporting another core studio, including Amazon, who is poised to release the upcomingLord of the RingsTV show.
