Make your choice between the Candela or Arlo path in Pokémon GO.
The Pokémon GO Beloved Buddies event is here, and every single Trainer gets access to a Free Timed Research during the event. After you complete the first page, you are presented with two different paths, one with Candela and one with Team GO Rocket Leader Arlo. So, which Beloved Buddies Research path should you choose?
We’ve seen other branching research quests in Pokémon GO recently. During the Holiday Part 1 event Trainers could choose between Cliff and Sierra. Then, during the Steeled Resolve event Trainers had the choice between Blanche or Cliff. To help you choose, we’ve broken down every Research Quest in each of the two paths, so you’re able to make an informed choice about which to pick.
Should I choose the Candela or Arlo path in the Beloved Buddies research?
There are only a couple of differences between the Candela andLeader Arlopaths in the Beloved Buddies free Timed Research. Here are the major differences between the two paths.
The Candela Path:
The Arlo Path:
In summary, the only major differences between the Arlo or Candela path are what Pokémon you encounter. There are four encounters with each path, and none of the Pokémon are the same between Candela or Arlo. There is also a difference between Poffins or a Rocket Radar, if either of these things are valuable to you.
Overall, the Pokémon encounters on the Arlo or Candela paths aren’t really that exciting. You might have a personal preference, perhaps one of these Pokémon is a special favourite or a shiny that you don’t have. Otherwise, there are only a couple of standout things to mention.
The Candela path contains Shellder. This is a Pokémon that awards a lot of bonus Stardust when caught. Catching Shellder gets you 1000 Stardust, so consider that an additional bonus of this path.
However, the Arlo path contains Scizor. This is a Pokémon that has a Mega Evolution in the game. If you don’t have a good Scizor to Mega Evolve, then the Arlo path could be a good choice for you.
