To this day, the PUBG MOBILE and Alan Walker collaboration is regarded by the global community as one of the most iconic and memorable collaborations in the game’s history. Often referred to as the “Old PUBG MOBILE,” this era was marked by immense popularity, during which the game consistently ranked the top mobile game in the world. According to data from Sensor Tower, PUBG MOBILE reached over 1 billion downloads in 2020, largely attributed to successful collaborations like that with Alan Walker.

Even today, players argue that no collaboration has managed to surpass the impact of the original Alan Walker partnership. Other collaborations, such as those with Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Resident Evil 2 (2019), are often considered close competitors, but many feel that the experience of playing with friends, driving across Erangel while listening to “On My Way” on the car’s radio, is still unmatched.
