PSG.LGD reported that they will receive punishments from Valve for failing to report a positive COVID case in their party.
PSG.LGD has announced that their team will receive punishment for failing to report a COVID-19 case at The International 11. The punishment will affect PSG.LGD’s matches tomorrow on Day 3 of TI Group Stage.
The announcement was posted on their officialWeibo page. The general manager of PSG.LGD, Pan Fei was discovered to be positive on October 13th. This was a few days after the team arrived for TI11 in Singapore. He reportedly self-isolated right after the confirmation.
This year, Valve allows the registration of only eight people in the team official party. Unfortunately, since he is not a part of the PSG.LGD’s official party that attended TI, the team didn’t report the case to Valve.
PSG.LGD will have to go through the punishment for not complying with the required standard of operation. The punishment will take place on October 17th during Day 3 of TI Group Stage.

This is unfortunate for PSG.LGD as they are currently trying to redeem itself after a disappointing Day 1. After a more successful Day 2, they are number three in Group A, a tie with OG Esports, and right under RNG and Evil Geniuses. They are in danger of not making it to the Upper Bracket in the TI playoffs.
PSG.LGD has assured us that the players and the rest of the party had tested negative for COVID-19 and they will comply with Valve’s punishment. Let’s hope that this setback won’t affect PSG.LGD’s journey to the TI finals.
