There is huge anticipation for Pokémon Centre’s drop of Destined Rivals.
With Pokémon TCG as popular as ever, there is a huge amount of interest in the Pokémon Centre pre-orders for the new Destined Rivals sets. Pokémon Centre Elite Trainer boxes always incredibly sought after with the additional two Booster Packs and the specially stamped Promo Code.

It was widely expected that these Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Boxes would become avaliable for pre-order on the Pokémon Centre last week. However, the usual Thursday or Friday drop dates passed with no sign of any Elite Trainer Boxes. There was a drop of Prismatic Evolution Ultra Premium Collections, so those closely watching for any new products were at least still rewarded.
But when it comes to Destined Rivals, we are now in uncharted territory. This will be one of the closest drop dates to the eventual release date across the entirety of the Scarlet and Violet TCG era.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE:Destined Rivals was avaliable on the Pokémon Centre earlier today. As of 3 p.m. EST all Destined Rivals products are out of stock on Pokémon Center.

When will Destined Rivals be avaliable for pre-order?

Destined Rivals comes during huge interest in Pokémon TCG
However, we are in unprecedented times in the Pokémon TCG community. Prismatic Evolutions kickstarted a huge spike in interest in collecting and selling cards. You can hardly find any TCG products at retail price. The “value” of single cards and sealed products has skyrocketed.
That means that The Pokémon Company are doing things differently. For instance, there was no release-day Prismatic Evolutions drop on the Pokémon Centre. In addition, it has been confirmed that there will be a substantial amount of re-prints to help meet demand.

That, in some ways, means all bets are off. The Pokémon Company might be taking a different approach to combat the increased demand, while limiting scalpers and bots where possible.
For instance, they might even announce pre-orders before they happen. Historically they have just “dropped” at random. However, with historical demand, this was usually not a big deal. You could pre-order a set for a few days at minimum before they sold out.

So, while pre-orders are still expected next week, prepare for anything.
