A total of 14 European teams qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major via the RMRs.

The Europe RMR saw 32 CS2 teams fighting for the 14 spots available at the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

As usual, the 32 European teams who attended the RMR were split into two Swiss-system tournaments (A and B). In the Swiss format, the teams needed to win at least three matches to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major or lose three matches to be eliminated. The exception is for the teams that end up in the tiebreaker as they needed to win one extra match to qualify for the Major.

The competition started with best-of-one series to save time, but as soon as teams hit the elimination or advancement scenario, the best-of-three series began. Seven teams from each Europe RMR advanced to the Major.
