Will anyone stop OpTic Halo in the 2025 Halo Champion Series season?
OpTic Halo has formally announced its roster for the 2025 Halo Champion Series season, retaining Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper and adding Adam ‘Bound’ Gray, Kaci “Lqgend' Sabri, and Jonathan ‘Renegade’ Willette.
Rumors surrounding this roster have been circulating throughout the scene since the post-Halo Champs off-season began. Now, this ‘god squad’ with new coach Daniel ‘Tusk’ Ruiz will look to turn heads and dominate the competitive Halo Infinite landscape.
OpTic cleans house and lets FormaL rebuild the Halo roster
Following a successful yet disappointing season, many questioned whether veteran FormaL would retire, return to Call of Duty, or continue playing Halo. As the off-season progressed, former OpTic players Trippy, Lucid, and Deadzone, alongside coach Lunchbox, left the team on Nov. 19. That situation lent more to the theory of FormaL building OpTic Halo from the ground up.
One month after OpTic wiped its roster,Spacestation Gamingannounced the departure of star players Bound and Lqgend after a historic season. Putting two and two together, it became clear what would unfold. Rumors of FormaL, Bound, and Lqgend joining forces began making the rounds on OpTic Halo, leaving just one spot to fill.
Former FaZe Clan player Renegade would ultimately occupy the final spot on OpTic after leaving his previous squad on Dec. 19. Although not the best-kept secret in the Halo off-season, this team comprises arguably the four best players and will hope to replicate Spacestation Gaming’s four LAN wins from last season.
Halo pro ‘MoNsTcR’ receives 100-year ban for allegedly cheating
If it stands, MoNsTcR’s ban from Halo matchmaking would conclude in 2124.

How good will this roster perform in the 2025 HCS season?
The expectations on this roster will be overwhelming as FormaL, Bound, Renegade, and Lqgend enter the 2025 season. All four have succeeded in previous HCS seasons, especially Bound and Lqgend as a pair on Spacestation Gaming. There is no reason to believe this roster won’t be the favorite to win theHalo World Championship2025.
Unfortunately, the HCS has yet to announce the 2025 roadmap, meaning it’s unclear when the season will commence. We expect more details soon sincethe 2024 seasonbegan in February.
