A North American el classico ends up in favor of nouns.

The North American Closed Qualifier for Riyadh Masters concluded with nouns at helm. The team managed to not only go pass the Lower Bracket but also secure a close revenge match against Shopify Rebellion. The Grand Finals saw a 3-2 score for nouns, ultimately claiming the slot for the $5 million Riyadh Masters.

Sweet revenge: Nouns grabs a significant win to Riyadh Masters

North America has seen the tumultuous back-and-forth stint between nouns and Shopify Rebellion. The two teams are the best of the region, being the only tier 1 contenders.

But for many NA qualifiers this year, nouns continuously lost to the Rebellion. This resulted in nouns missing a barrage of tier 1 events including DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham, and DreamLeague Season 23.

Fortunately, nouns found its footing for the crucial Riyadh Masters, barely edging out Shopify Rebellion in the qualifiers. This also comes after Shopify Rebellion underwent some massive roster changes with achange in its position 4and thedeparture of Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek, who would bereplaced by TI winner Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov.

MinD_ContRoL returns after a 3-month suspension period.
