The League of Legends Noxus Act 2 Battle Pass received a major revamp to include Hextech Chests! Here are the details.
The League of Legends team has posted a new update about the game. In addition to talking about the return of Hextech Chests, changes to Clash, and more, the team went into the League of Legends Noxus Act 2 Battle Pass. Read on for details.
League of Legends Noxus Act 2 Battle Pass
Riot Games has revealed updates to the Noxus Act 2 Battle Pass to include eight Hextech Chests and Keys to it. There are now four more free rewards for reaching certain milestones as well. Meanwhile, the paid milestone rewards decreased from 30 to 26. In terms of other major Act 2 Battle Pass updates, Grand Reckoning Alistar and Rell got removed to accommodate Hextech Chests and players can now get Mythic Essence via the paid Battle Pass. Meanwhile, mystery, epic, and lower-rarity skins are no longer part of the rewards track.
In a video, Andrei “Meddler” van Roon and Paul “Pabro” Bellezza shared some insights about this overall decision as well. Pabro revealed thatstarting in Act 2 next week, players will be able to earn up to 10 Hextech Chests and Keys. He said that eight Hextech Chests will be spread throughout the free Battle Pass instead of the seasonal skin and 1,350 RP skin.

In the newest developer’s update, Riot Games announced the return of Hextech Chests after players heavily disagreed with the decision to remove them.

“We’re bringing Chests back through the Pass instead of through Champion Mastery because we want to ensure that they’re accessible regardless of different playstyles,” Meddler added. “Whether you play modes with random champions selection or free choice, whether you play a wide variety of champions or just a few — we want to support that.”
