Lady Gagais cooking up something special.
The multi-hyphenate, 37,postedtwo photos on Instagram from the recording studio on Monday, teasing her fans who have been eagerly awaiting her return to music.
The post saw Gaga posing in an oversized sweater and a dramatic pair of platform black boots that nearly reached her knee with a pair of headphones over her ears. A guitar and a percussion instrument were featured in the second photo.
Gaga has shifted her focus away from music in the last few years as she’s expanded on her acting career, which began with 2018’sA Star Is Born. She followed that up withHouse of Gucciin 2021 and is set tomake her debut as Harley QuinnalongsideJoaquin Phoenix’s Joker inFolie á Deux.
The film, set to premiere in October, is a sequel to the 2019 Oscar-winning film,Joker, which saw a struggling stand-up comedian turn violent and inadvertently inspire a city-wide riot in Gotham.Joker: Folie á Deuxis slated as a musical thriller.

Amidst her burgeoning acting career, Gaga has maintained her music presence, and most recently collaborated with theRolling Stoneson theirHackney Diamondsalbum.
Their gospel-inspired single, “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” dropped in September, and the band’s lead singerMick Jaggerpraised Gaga as “a really great singer”after working with her on the track.
“I’d never heard her sing quite that style before,” Jagger — who previously performed the Stones' “Gimme Shelter” with Gaga in 2012 — told Zane Lowe onApple Music 1.
He said the recording came about “live in the room, and that was a great experience, her just coming in the room and her just opening up and seeing her bits and feeling her way and then getting more confident.”

Before that collaboration, she released a single for 2022’sTop Gun: Maverick,“Hold My Hand,”which starTom Cruisepraised as “the heartbeat of our film.”
The song was nominated for best achievement in music written for motion pictures (original song) at the2023 Oscars, and sheperformed a stripped-down versionof it during the show.
“It just opened up the whole movie. She’s amazing,” Cruise, 61, told James Corden during an episode ofThe Late Late Showat the time. “It just opened those doors to the emotional core of the film that we had … in that moment, things just came together in such a beautiful way.”
Before that, Gaga collaborated with her late friend,Tony Bennett, for the second time as they releasedLove for Salein 2021, their second joint album, following up 2014’sCheek to Cheek.
At the beginning of the summer, the “Rain on Me” singer seemingly addressed her absence from the music world as she admitted onInstagramthat she had been “experiencing my creativity ever since last summer in a really special and private way,” through her philanthropic work, her makeup and skincare brand Haus Labs and her experience filming theJokersequel.
She called the film a “very introspective time,” adding, “I can say for the first time in many years that my love of making art, music, fashion and supporting community has never been more fulfilling.”
She also shared that she has been working on a film edit forThe Chromatica Ball, her 2022 summer stadium tour.
“I can’t WAIT for you to experience it,” Gaga said of the upcoming concert movie. “Thank you for being willing to grow with me so that I can change and transform with the community I love so much. I hope you love all the things I’ve been creating for you and I hope this is a small reminder to you of my deep passion and commitment to art. 🖤.”
