The name sounds terrible, but Second Impact Games’Super Crazy Rhythm Castleisout todayto remind us that Konami still sometimes publishes video games.
Super Crazy Rhythm Castleis, predictably, a rhythm game, but the whole musical gameplay is set alongside an adventure mode. Rather than just be a series of similar challenges, the musical tracks are set alongside a variety of different situations and utilized for different means.

Not only that, but you can team up with other humans for four-player co-op so you can suffer from your friends and family’s complete lack of rhythm. I often playRock Bandwith my family, and it’s best if I just focus on what I’m doing while they hack away at easy mode. Speaking of which, you can fine-tune your difficulty.
You may have been excited by Konami’s inclusion as the publisher. The Konami name still evokes thoughts ofGoemonandCastlevaniain my head. But while no classic characters are shown off in the trailers, someone does pick up a Famicom-looking Holy Cartridge that announces it contains Vampire Killer fromCastlevania. Aw, heck yes.

It’s actually an entertaining-looking little title. I had planned on checking out the demo during the recentSteam Next Festbut didn’t get around to it. But maybe I will. And if you’re interested but not sold quite yet, you still can.
Super Crazy Rhythm Castleis available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
