Valorant, the popular online shooter game, features a variety of agents, and each of them has unique abilities to offer. Unlocking agents is important inValorant, as it allows you to explore new playstyles, and find out which agent works out the best for you.
There are three different ways to unlock an agent inValorant. you may either pay for them and unlock them viaValorantPoints (VP), or you can earn Kingdom Credits and then use them to unlock an agent, or you can take up an agent contract, complete missions, and gain XP to unlock the agent.
How to unlock agents in usingValorantPoints
Unlocking aValorantagent requires 1,000ValorantPoints, which can be purchased from the in-game store for $10.
How to unlockValorantagents using Kingdom Credits
You need 8,000 Kingdom Credits inValorantto unlock an agent. Kingdom Credits can be earned by completing matches and missions. In order to gain Kingdom Credits faster, you should play Unrated, Swiftplay, Competitive, and Premier modes as they reward you with 10 Kingdom Credits for each round you complete in a match. This means that a standardValorantmatch in Unrated or Competitive can earn you 130 Kingdom Credits, as the game will go up to at least 13 rounds without any side surrendering. For modes such as Team Deathmatch, Spike Rush, and Escalation, you only get 20 Kingdom Credits for completing the game.
After earning 8,000 Kingdom Credits, head to the in-game Agent store. Select the agent you wish to unlock and choose to spend Kingdom Credits to unlock the agent.
How to unlockValorantagents using Contracts
There are two different contracts available inValorantto unlock agents. New players are offered the Free Welcome Contract, which allows them to unlock two agents of their choice. These choices arrive at Tier 5 and 10 of the contract. Contract tiers have to be reached by gaining XP, which can be earned by completing daily and weekly missions, playing matches, and more.
Then, there is also the Agent Recruitment Event. Whenever a new agent is released inValorant, players can unlock them for free by completing the objectives of the new event.
Players have to earn 200,000 XP to unlock the new agent during the event which will last 28 days. After 28 days, if players fail to unlock the agent, the agent will be available in the store and can be purchased usingValorantPoints or Kingdom Credits. Players cannot unlock new agents using Kingdom Credits until the Agent Recruitment Event ends.
