Gaming capable laptops under $650

Gaming laptop deals are starting to heat up as the holiday season near, and Lenovo is banking on early shoppers to take advantage of some choice discount this weekend. If you’re in the market for a Legion gaming laptop, Lenovo has the latest current options availablestarting at only $637.49for the Legion Y530. That’s a pretty good price given the laptop will be able to run most modern titles at reasonable settings.

Even if you’re not ready to fork over money just quite yet given Black Friday and Cyber Monday is just around the corner – the discounts we’ve rounded up below are a good preview of things to come. For this weekend, Lenovo is offering a 15% off coupon on all Legion gaming laptops. On its own, the discounts are OK – but what makes them extra worthwhile is the fact that the coupon stacks with existing instant savings.

The coupon works on current generation Y530, Y730 (both 15-inch and 17-inch models), and of course the previous gen Y520 and Y20. The main difference between these machines is the 8th Gen Intel processors versus the previous 7th Gen and a completely new chassis from Lenovo. We personally prefer the newer models given the chassis has less of that forceful gamer “flare” – especially when the LED lights are off.

Note: we weren’t explicit in the bullet points below, but every Legion gaming laptop below comes with a Full HD 1080p IPS display. For more on a GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti performance, checkhereandhere. For those older Legion laptops with a GTX 1060, you’ll essentially be getting a VR-ready gaming laptop.
