The stars have aligned! Genshin Impact has officially revealed Lauma as the next playable character. While she previously appeared in both Nod-Krai trailers, this marks her official debut, and she’s nothing short of stunning.

Lauma belongs to the Frostmoon Scions, a Nod-Krai organization that worships the Frost Moon, one of Teyvat’s three moons, also known as the Three Sisters. According to Teyvat’s mythos, these ancient goddesses died during the Great Calamity, one of the most devastating wars in the land’s history.
However, “though they are the indigenous residents of the land, the Frostmoon Scions do not seem to fit in with the Nod-Krai of today.” To some people, they are “too ancient” and “too rooted in worship of a god that they have never seen.“Lauma appears as a representation of the goddesses, a chosen emissary who is venerated as a living link to the divine.
Lauma’s outfit conveys a graceful, ethereal, andnature-attuned presence, befitting her title, “Maiden of the Grove.” Her headdress resembles a divine headdress, hinting at her status as a spiritual figure or chosen vessel of a deity. She is going to be from the Dendro element, and you’re able to already start topre-farm for her. Some of Lauma’s materials are still unavailable, as they originate from the Nod-Krai region, which will be introduced in Version 6.0.

When is Lauma coming to Genshin Impact?
HoYoverse revealed Lauma through drip marketing, signaling her arrival in Genshin Impact Version 6.0. She will likely join the game during the first phase of the update, expected to launch on Aug 16, 2025. We’ll have to wait for the official version 6.0 livestream to confirm exactly which phase Lauma will appear in.
