We ’re all house . This CES was a little different from class past .
Little things . Like luncheon in the press way . Although the sandwiches were good , the dejeuner were n’t hot this year . There were some empty Booth on the show floor , too . So some cost newspaper clipping is materialise . But it was still very much a push show trading floor . The usual choke point between Panasonic and Motorola was less gridlock - y , but was also redesign , so its likely the novel layout more than anything .
We also left a day sooner than common , because the show has one less weekday in its docket . But given the deficiency of big news , we did n’t omit much . I mean , we could have done 150 station a twenty-four hour period , but that would include a wad of garbage and racket . What we saw that was great , we write about , and left the rest of the film editing room floor .
The best affair about this year ’s show — speaking meta — was that the lack of expectant contraption made reporting achievable , and so we had time to see our favorite friends from across the internet . I had a great time meeting common people at casino royale and caught up with rob and joel from BoingBoing contrivance after what seemed like ages . The night before , we got to see our champion from T3 . ( Thanks for the shirt and beer , Kat , and congrats on the conflict ! ) This is the variety of thing we would n’t have been able to do at a busier show and in some ways , I am grateful for the slower pace .
So , after all these old age of despising this show , I have to say that I ’ve finally notice something to appreciate it for : It gives me the perfect excuse to see almost all the Giz writers and fellow editors I know in one place , at one time . And how can that not turn into a in effect time , if work is n’t puzzle in the way ?
