G2 Esports vs Trace Esports: Match recap

Check out this section after the games to see the highlights of each map played.

Map 1: Lotus

Trace started off very well, winning the pistol round. G2 had a great eco, but it was not enough to win it. After a great 4k fromjawgemo, G2 seemed to regain some control of the game with a great attack side.

However, they didn’t hold back in the second part of the game because G2 entered with so much confidence and strength. Trace Esports was having a hard time trying to enter the sites and gain an advantage. Trace managed to get a round, but that was not enough to shake G2’s supremacy.

The team synergy was on point during the match — everyone was landing incredible shots. In the last round, leafmade a great 3k that gave them the confidence to end the game. Trace ended up losing the first map — the one they had picked. Let’s see how they work out the next map and if they’re able to take this match to a third one and have the chance to stay in the upper bracket.

Map 2: Abyss

G2 Esports started well winning the pistol round, but Trace Esports came in with full force. The bonus and G2’s eco round were great for Trace, but that didn’t stop the samurais from regaining control of the match. Their confidence and aggression were unmatched, and they didn’t miss a fight. Just like that, the score hit 9-3.

At this point, Trace couldn’t do much to change the rhythm of the game. The frustration from the Chinese team was evident, but that didn’t give them enough confidence for a comeback. Trace Esports lost the second match as well.
