New Shard Cards are on the way to change the game when FragPunk’s Closed Beta Test goes live on June 07, 2025.
The FragPunk Closed Beta Test begins on June 04, 2025. There’s plenty of new content available if you remember diving into the original test of the game. This includes new Shard Cards, which FragPunk has showcased in a short trailer on its X account.

Let’s go over the new Shard Cards that you can obtain when the beta kicks off, and eventually at the game’s launch.
All new Shard Cards for the FragPunk Closed Beta Test
Here is each new Shard Card and the ability it gives you in the round it is used in FragPunk:
There are already plenty of game changing Shard Cards. You can give your enemies bigger heads, plant the Converter anywhere on the map, or even allow you and your team to return as the Undead for the round after being eliminated.
These ones will add to that chaos with another level of gameplay. Being able to jump to escape or initiate a fight will be right up some players' alley. And being able to set stationary turrets or even let the Converter plant itself is so useful.

If you’re reading this and aren’t sure what Shard Cards are, we can explain. FragPunk has a voting system at the beginning of each round where random Shard Cards from the team’s collection are available for selection.
What is FragPunk?
FragPunk is a character-based first-person shooter with game and world-changing abilities that fill every round with surprises.
The team votes on which one(s) they want to use. The card’s effect then enables for the following round, with opportunities for drastic gameplay changes. Just imagine starting a round and the entire map becomes covered in ice and there is barely any visibility.
