Final Fantasy XIVlaunches its next expansion,Dawntrail, in just a few weeks, and it’s already announced some rather strange partnerships to celebrate Version 7.0 with brands like KFC andMountain Dew. Though perhaps a little more appropriately, the MMORPG just revealed its collaboration with Secret Lab, the company behind all those flashy gamer chairs.
TheFFXIVgaming chair takes inspiration from some classicShadowbringersiconography, using theSecretlab Titan Evomodel as a base for its dark blue and gold flare. It’s also the first chair from Secret Lab to come with a few extraglamour options. You can change out the little magnets on the top left side, representingFFXIV’sTank, Healer, or DPS Roles — thus making the chair a more flexible party member than me.

It’s a neat little gimmick, but I’m far more charmed by the Crystal Tower on the back and all of the Ocular-inspired gold trim. I’m not super keen on most gamer chairs aesthetically or for comfort, especially as someone with a spine shaped like a silly straw, but at least this one looks leagues better than most.
And, of course, there’s a lumbar pillow themed to fit, too. Secret Lab has made both an Alpha Edition and Fat Cat Edition, little memory foam tributes to some of the game’s cutest mascots.

Historically, the special edition Secret Lab chairs of the same model start around $624, almost $100 more than the standard chair from the company, so you’ll pay a premium for the branding. Other crossovers with games likeLeague of Legendspriced the lumbar pillows at $59; they’re sold separately from the Titan Evo.
Final Fantasy XIV Dawntraillaunches on July 2, though you may get in through its early access period by pre-ordering the expansion. As for this chair, I’m not sure if you’ll have this thing in time for the big update, but we’ll update later as those details clear up.
