Dawntrail benchmark trailer

The FFXIV benchmark download is now available on the officialDawntrailsite.

The benchmark includes a newly updated character creation, including the first ever chance to create your own female Hrothgar in all her glory. Once you’ve downloaded the benchmark, simply run the program and open it when installation is complete.

FFXIV Dawntrail system requirements

If you don’t mind sacrificing some distance rendering and sharpness, you will likely be able to runDawntrailon the lowest settings. However, if you want to reap the benefits of the graphical update in their entirety, you’ll need to be closer to the recommended settings below. Whether you’re aiming for minimum or recommended, you’ll need to have a 64-bit processor and operating system.

The trailer for the benchmark is enough to get anyone excited, but look closely during those fight scenes. If you feel obliged, slow it down to 0.25 playback speed. You’ll see not only an entirely new Job action for each Job, but also what appears to be a new outfit for each Job as well. I’m particularly excited by the Dark Knight and Reaper gear.
