The developers from Kuro Games have prepared an impressively big update for Wuthering Waves. From Version 1.4, the game jumps up to WuWa 2.0 — and that’s not just a fancy number.
The new region becomes available for exploration, with new creatures and story twists. New Resonators are here for you to try and summon during character banners.
All the details of Wuthering Waves 2.0 were revealed during a special broadcast program (livestream).

The WuWa 2.0 release date was announced previously on the game’s social account. Wuthering Waves Version 2.0 is out on Jul 13, 2025. It’s the same date when WuWa becomes available on the PlayStation 5.

What’s in WuWa Version 2.0?
Big changes come to Wuthering Waves. The adventures continue in a new region, Rinascita. Some new characters (Resonators) join the game roster.
A new region: WuWa Rinascita
Get ready for the trip to Rinascita! You’ll visit the beautiful city of Ragunna: many masked carnivals take place here. The whole region is known for its highly developed arts.
One of interesting features of Rinascita is the active usage of Echoes. These creatures help people in a vast variety of activities.
Some elite families control Ragunna. They are great at converting creativity into cash. A drama takes place in this society.

Fresh story in WuWa 2.0 Rinscita
While it sure is great to explore the new location, the adventure becomes more interesting when a story fills the events with a sense and a goal.

Flight in WuWa
The new region of Wuthering Waves 2.0 has eight areas for players to explore. To make the traveling across them easier and quicker, the developers introduce flight to WuWa. Thanks to the aerial Echo Wingray, you can literally fly in the sky.
Other new methods of traveling include Gandola for the water (even with going up the waterfalls) and jumping between buildings. These are also possible with special Echoes.

New Resonators of Wuthering Waves Version 2.0
These new characters was revealed for the game: Carlotta, Roccia, Phoebe, Zani, and Brant. The most information are available aboutWuWa Carlotta and Roccia. They both are 5-star Resonators.
Carlotta
This girl is the first 5-star WuWa Resonator that battles with pistols. Her element is Glacio.
The developers tried to convey the elegant nature of this girl with her fighting style.
Roccia
This little girl is an improvisational comedian who combines her performance and battling tricks. Her weapon in gauntlets. The element is Havoc.
Roccia is a great support character. For example, with her Resonance Skill, Roccia summons a small tornado that pulls enemies away, so the allies can attack them. Also, Roccia has a partner: the chest mimic Pero helps the girl in battles.
Phoebe, Zani, and Brant in WuWa 2.0
These new Wuthering Waves Resonators were revealed via social posts. So far, we know only their appearance: thanks to the posters below.
New weapons in Wuthering Waves
Version 2.0 receives new weapons — which is pretty logical, as Carlotta and Roccia need something decent to face enemies.
In addition to this, Wuthering Waves gets two new 4-star weapons: the rectifier Call of the Abyss and the crafting set Poetry and Paean.
