ESL Pro Tour’s second event of 2023 is officially announced! DreamLeague Season 20 will follow the same format and prize pool as DreamLeague Season 19. DreamLeague Season 20 teams

ESL announced the spectacular lineup for its second league of the year. This tour involves high-tier teams from all regions.

UPDATE: Due to VISA issues, Execration can’t make it to DreamLeague Season 20. EEU team, BetBoom Team, will instead fill in their slot.

When does DreamLeague Season 20 start?

EPT’s DreamLeague Season 20 will be held on June 11th - 25th, 2023. This compact circuit will happen over two weeks and it begins right after Tour 3 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) concludes.

This will be an interesting stop before the Bali Major. Fans can have a hint of how teams will perform at the significant Major - the last event before The International 2023, TI12.

Format

The format for DreamLeague Season 20 is the same as the previous DreamLeague event. There are three stages: Group Stage 1, Group Stage 2, and Playoffs.

In Group Stage 1, a total of sixteen teams are divided into two groups of eight teams each. They will clash in a round-robin format in a BO2 setting. The top four of each group advance to Group Stage 2 and the rest are eliminated.

In Group Stage 2, all eight teams clash in one group. All games remain a BO2. The top two advance to Playoff Upper Bracket and the 3rd-4th place team drop to the Playoff Lower Bracket. The bottom four are eliminated.

The Playoffs will see four teams clash in a double elimination bracket. All matches are BO3 except for the Grand Final which will be a BO5.
