Destiny 2players were able to chase catalysts during Year 1as they awaited may of the game-changing updates that came with the Forsaken expansion. But since the launch of Forsaken and the start of Year 2, catalysts (some of which needed to be earned with others dropping from specific activities) have been largely absent. It looks like that will soon change, however, withDestiny 2’s latest update on June 14, 2025, adding several catalysts to the game’s database, which was datamined by fans.
The list of Year 2 catalysts comes via user Eander on Reddit, a developer on theDestiny 2database site light.gg. While these catalysts do exist within the game’s database, even Eander says that the stats attached to nine of them specifically are “super classified” and these stat boosts should be “taken with a grain of salt.”

These nineDestiny 2Year 2 exoticswith stat information listed within the database are:
These other exotics also have catalysts in the database but there are currently no stats attached to them:
There is no way to tell when these catalysts may finally make their way to the game. They could have been added to for an eventual release duringDestiny 2’s Season 7: Season of Opulence, which starts early June 2019. Or, it may be the case that fans could start running across them in-game by completing specific tasks, or by finding them randomly by completing activities. However, at this time, there are no reports from players that they have found any.
This is the second, somewhat lesser discoveryDestiny 2players have made today after a new quest was found. The new quest rewards the Outbreak Perfected exotic pulse rifle, aDestiny 2version ofDestiny 1’s Outbreak Prime exotic.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
