A new promo video for the upcomingDate A Live IVanime began streaming on the series’ site on Monday. The second full promo video reveals the show’s new theme song artists and new cast members alongsidean April 2022 premiere.
The opening theme song, “OveR”, will be performed by voice actress Miyu Tomita (Made in Abyss’Riko,We Never Learn’sRizu Ogata). The ending theme, “S.O.S.”, will be performed by voice actor unit sweet ARMS, who have worked on theme songs for the series in the past.

Akari Kageyama (Himouto! Umaru-chan’sNana Ebina) will join the cast as Mokuro Hoshimiya, with Hitomi Nabatame (theFateseries’ Bazett) joining as Nia Honjō. Theupcoming fourth seasonof the popular sci-fi/harem anime was initially supposed to air in October 2021, but was pushed back to the Spring 2022 season for undisclosed reasons.
Illustrated by former Idea Factory character designer Tsunako, Kōshi Tachibana’sDate A Livelight novel series ran from 2011-2020. The series was a part of Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint, running in Dragon Magazine. The series has inspired an anime adaptation, various video games, and a handful of spin-offs.
TheDate A Liveanime first aired in 2013, with a 12-episode adaptation animated byAIC Plus+ airing during the Spring 2013 season. Production IMS animated the 10-episode second series a year later. After a seven-year gap, J.C.Staff animated the 12-episode third series, which aired during the Winter 2019 season. Geek Toys, the studio behind the twoDate A Bulletfilm adaptations, are taking over for the fourth season.
Jun Nakagawa (High School Fleet Movie,Date A Bullet) is taking over as series director for season four. Keitaro Motonaga (Persona 3 the Movie 3: Falling Down,Katanagatari) directed the first three seasons of the anime as well as the 2015Date A Live: The Movie – Mayuri Judgementfilm.
Yen Press publishes the light novels in English andFunimation licenses the anime series.
