PhotographerHenry Hargreavesmixes his puerility toy with his love of food for thought in this tasty , yet slightly creepy serial publication of photos that takes mold of action bod and fill them with coffee – make the effect of the Carbonite freezing process from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi .
For Jabba ’s Bounty , Hargreaves take action figures of some of his favourite characters , from Batman to Toy Story ’s Woody ( shared in the header above because holy CRAP that one looks creepy ! ) , and made silicone polymer molds from them , before fill them with umber to let them set up , create the ‘ frozen in carbonite ’ effect . He then painted them with edible silver paint , and determine them up in a mock up of Jabba the Hutt ’s trophy rampart to photograph them . Here ’s a television of his process :
