What is the format of Capcom Pro Tour 2021?
The new season of the Capcom Pro Tour will comprise more than thirty regional premier events across 19 regions. The winner of each event qualifies for the Capcom Cup that will take place in early 2022.
The Capcom Cup VIII has a prize pool of $200,000. The top four finalists of each online premier will split a prize pool of $5,000.
The Capcom Pro Tour had to moveonline last yeardue to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic forced organizers to cancel LAN events due to restrictions on in-person gatherings and social distancing norms. The Capcom Pro Tour 2021 will follow the original format for the 2020 season.

New DLCs, costumes and a new stage in the CPT Premier Pass
Capcom Pro Tour 2021 will bring exclusive DLCs, themed costumes and a Ring of Galaxy Stage. CPT 2021 Premier pass will launch on March 18 and costs $19.99. The CPT Premier pass includes three new costumes; one for Seth and one for a surprise character. The costumes and stage are also available for purchase separately without the DLC for $5,99.
The Capcom Pro Tour Premier pass serves as a means for the community to support theFighting Gamesesports scene. The CPTs opening event will be the first of four online premiers hosted for Japanese players. Registration for the first online premier begins on March 29, while the tournament will run for two days on the 17th and the 18th. All matches will stream live on Twitch and YouTube.
