Schedule 1certainly took the world of PC gaming by surprise, but there’s bad news if you use a Mac to meet all your gaming needs.
While Apple’s Macs are pretty powerful and do a variety of tasks pretty well, they have certain limitations when it comes to gaming. While recent AAA titles likeAssassin’s Creed Shadowsare available for Apple computers, the business simulator is not available on Mac as of writing.
Why is Schedule 1 not on Mac?
It’s difficult to say whySchedule 1isn’t on Mac because the average requirements of the game aren’t very high. But it’s only available on Windows at the moment, and you’re able to buy the game from Steam. Typically, it requires a lot of extra work to make a port that will work on a Mac, and this game is made by a solo developer. The devices operate on a separate OS, which makes it impossible for a Windows executable to run on it without extra work.
It’s uncertain as to if and whenSchedule 1makes its way to Mac. I don’t think it will, but a console launch eventually is certainly possible.Having the simulator on Xbox and PS5will be great for the game’s life cycle as well.

While there’s no native support for the game on a Mac, there’s a workaround. You’ll have to use a virtualization tool, and I will recommendWhisky. There are some alternatives available on the market, but Whisky is my choice.
If you haven’t got a VM set up already on your device, make sure to follow the instructions properly. All VMs have plenty of tutorials available on the internet, so you’re able to always refer to them if you get stuck. There are certain points to keep in mind if you manage to runSchedule 1on your Mac.
Since there’s no native support for the game, the performance will be extremely choppy. There’s always a chance for excessive stutters and crashes, and the performance also depends on the specifications of your device. I won’t attempt to run the game if your Mac has less than 16GB of RAM.
Unless you’re desperate to play the game, it’s best not to take any undue risk that might jeopardize the safety of your Apple device.
