Hiccup is able to enchant a Night Fury by shoot him out of the sky . He finds the flying dragon in the woods , wound , missing half of his back fivesome and unable to fly . When Hiccup move to kill the problematic dragon , though , he realizes he does n’t have it in him . alternatively , he pities him , nurse him back to health and befriends the dragon . Stoic is n’t ready to accept his whole lifetime is a Trygve Halvden Lie and vows to regain the family of the dragons and kill them all .
stoical captures Toothless and uses him to recover the dragon den and a massive battle ensues . During which , Stoic in the end actualise Hiccup is correct . flying lizard are not bad after all and he apologizes to his boy . Hiccup and Toothless carry through the sidereal day by vote down a huge “ evil ” dragon but , in the fight , Hiccup loses a foot , which further connect him to Toothless as they both partake a impairment . In reality , she result Berk for much the same reasons singultus is feuding with everyone . She believed Draco were near and it was her job to protect them , to which the Berk Vikings disagreed . So she ’s spent almost 20 age living with , encyclopedism , and absolve dragons . Valka also uncover that she lives with a Bewilderbeast , a massive Alpha dragon , that can moderate all the other dragons .
stoical sets off to find oneself the kidnapped Hiccup and is more than surprised to find his married woman , alive . They chop-chop return back in love and the family decides to team up to vote down Drago . He has an Alpha dragon too , which is how he felt he could hold in a flying dragon army , and the two Alphas competitiveness . In the battle , Stoic is killed but the 24-hour interval is won when Toothless becomes the new Alpha , discover he has some witching power neither he nor Hiccup know about .
The film terminate with Stoic ’s funeral , Valka moving back to Berk , Hiccup becoming the fresh head and Toothless the unexampled Alpha dragon , able-bodied to overlook all the other dragons at will .

Other notes
There are five other supporting characters who are semi - important . First are Fishlegs , Snotlout , Tuffnut and Ruffnut . They are the same age as Hiccup and Astrid and are part of the dragon trace class in the first movie , the first to ride firedrake ( along with Hiccup and Astrid ) , and by flick two , the duet ’s trusted allies .
